To "balance her family," says Angelina Jolie, 31, about her decision to add another child to her growing single parent menagerie. (Oops, I forgot, dad Brad is there. Or is he?)
A balanced family? Angelina says she needs to balance the faces in the family so that Zahara's isn't the only black face at the breakfast table. Sounds more like balancing a shoe closet or a teddy bear collection, to me. A pink one here, a black one there.
Angelina has the money to help ANY child in this world; so why, if she's so keen on being an humanitarian, why are all her adopted children cute? And whole? And healthy?
Wouldn't a true philanthropist, especially an obscenely rich one, adopt a crippled child or a disfigured child or a child needing a barrage of expensive medical care?
No, of course not, because a true collector wants perfection: no bent corners, no missing parts, and no defects.
Come on, Angelina, pull out all the stops. Pick a kid who could really benefit from your wealth. Pick a damaged one and really your stretch humanitarian limits.
And then maybe we can stand seeing your smug face at the next self-aggrandizing event you attend.
