I really enjoyed the TV show, Criminal Minds, once. Well, who wouldn't if you saw lead actor, Mandy Patinkin, as Inigo Montoya in the 1987 movie, "The Princess Bride?" You know, "You killed my father...," Yeah, you know.
But anyway, the show's producers, in their "wisdom," chose to reduce Mandy's character work in favor of the..."un-sub." That's right. In place of fine acting, the audience is treated to at least a dozen utterances of the BIG CRIME word "un-sub." What nonny-brained, creatively-challenged un-sub is responsible for the addition of this word?
Good Gawd! "Un-sub, un-sub, un-sub." I finally figured out it meant "unknown subject." That realization didn't help much though, as I find myself growling in exasperation each time the show uses the word for the umpteenth time. With each utterance, I wince and pull another clump of un-hair from my head while another chunk of my un-IQ withers away.
Would someone, anyone do the fans a favor and tell the Criminal Minds writers that if they don't do away with the term "un-sub" and do something more thoughtful like, I don't know, give Mandy more lines, they are going to be "un-employed."
‘Cause we un-get it already!!! Already!!! Already!!! Already!!! Already!!!
