OHHHH BILLYYYYY....

Well...Ol'Billy D couldn't handle the pressure...

Well...Billy D. couldn't handle the pressure...FROM HIS WIFE

We all know that Bill wants to come to Kentucky.  It's his freakin dream job, for crying out loud, but he couldn't convince the misses.

The money and the power UK had to offer simply weren't strong enough to overcome his wife's grip on his nuts.  That's fine...as a married man with kids, I can kind of understand his position.  But Hell, even my wife understands when to squeeze and when to stroke.

The angst Billy will have to live with once he puts his name on that new contract with Florida will be the demise of his marriage, you wait and see.  He will never forgive her and she will never understand.

Kentucky is where it all started for Billy.  He has longed to go back and sit in the throne...king of the most productive basketball team in the nation....to be part of the big blue nation fan base that was and is near and dear to his heart.

Parity has settled in on college hoops like a heavy fog.  It's easy to get lost in all the shuffling.  This coach here, that coach there, this kid to the pros, this kid recruited by who, and on and on.  The only hope is to get anchored with tradition.  Florida will come and go, Ohio State will come and go, but Kentucky will always be Kentucky.

The question has come up: "Why leave Florida when he has this and this and that and..." I'm here to tell ya, brother.  If you have to ask why coach at the University of Kentucky, then you simply don't know shit about NCAA basketball.

When was the last time Kentucky was Kentucky? Written on 6/4/07
Yeah, I'm not sure mired in mediocrity at Kentucky is better than sticking with the repeat national champion Gators (although he'll be very hard pressed to 3-peat after losing all his starters). Written on 7/4/07
Florida's 15 minutes of fame is over. Better to mired in mediocrity in front of 24,000 loyal fans then in front of 8,000 fair weather fans that can't wait for football season to ge here. Written on 9/4/07
Don't kid yourself, Kentucky has and will always be Kentucky. We are only a recruit (or two) away from a championship. Tubby is a great coach just couldn't deliver the top recruits. Verdict is still out on Billy G. Written on 9/4/07
