Girl, Dislocated

Constantly having to put my limbs back in their sockets, spending hours in the ER, and undergoing multiple surgeries due to EDS tends to get in the way of full-time school, full-time work, and my sanity. "Put your big girl panties on and deal with it" is my philosophy, so I've developed a high pain tolerance and, whether I'm on the floor at home trying to put my leg back in its socket or in the ER serving as a practice dummy for medical students, I remind myself that it could be worse: I could be--heaven forbid--allergic to chocolate.
